Kitchen and Bathroom replacements in Logie

The City Council's Housing Department is proceeding with a kitchen and bathroom replacement programme for the Logie Estate - and it has been brought forward to this financial year.

Along with the contractor, the Housing Investment Unit arranged for a display container to be on show in Logie Avenue yesterday and today, to allow tenants in the area to see a display kitchen and bathroom - so people can see the standard of work and the different finishes, colours of units, handles, etc that they can choose for their home.

It was organised on a "drop in" without the need for an appointment and local councillors were invited to pop in. I had the pleasure of visiting this afternoon and it was good to see the different options available to tenants on show, with helpful staff from the housing project team and the contractors available to answer any questions.

Similar work has been recently underway in both Kirkton and Douglas and it is clear from speaking with the staff this afternoon that tenant satisfaction with the work and new bathrooms and kitchens has been very high. The past couple of days has been a very good example of helpful consultation with the City Council's tenants in the Logie area.
