Fraser has been LibDem Councillor for the West End on Dundee City Council since 2001 and has topped the poll in all of the six council elections he has contested. Michael was elected to also represent the West End from May 2022 and is a hard-working addition to the West End LibDem team.

Yes to Fairer Votes launch in Dundee
After a morning's campaigning with Alison Burns, Scottish Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Dundee City West, we both attended the Dundee launch of the Yes to Fairer Votes campaign in the City Square.
This was a well attended event and in addition to a good turnout of Liberal Democrats, it was good to see both Labour and the Greens represented as well as people of no party political persuasion. For more details of the campaign for fairer votes, take a look on the campaign website.
Here's a couple of photos from the launch, together with a short video I took at the event :

Campaigning in the West End for Fairer Votes!
My Dundee Liberal Democrat colleagues - parliamentary candidates Alison Burns (Dundee City West) and Allan Petrie (Dundee City East) have met up with Alison McInnes, Liberal Democrat MSP for North East Scotland, in the West End to show their support for the Yes to Fairer Votes campaign. They are pictured below in Taylor's Lane.
Alison Burns said, "At the moment, MPs can be elected with fewer than one vote in three. With fairer votes, MPs would have to aim to get more than 50% of the vote to be sure of winning. This is good for democracy."
Allan Petrie added, "We need political reform now and the Alternative Vote is our best chance. For far too long we've had a situation where a monkey could get elected just by wearing the right colour of rosette.
That must change if we want the right people in government taking decisions on our behalf. We must say goodbye to First Past the Post, and vote Yes to AV."
Alison McInnes MSP said, "I am delighted that Dundee Liberal Democrats are campaigning for a YES vote on 5th May. The campaign for Fairer Votes is gathering momentum in Dundee and across Scotland."

Further to the meeting of the Fairer Votes campaign that I recently hosted, this evening, I was pleased to visit the Dundee Fairer Votes Office at the Micro-computing Centre of the University of Dundee, on its opening day.
Here's Robin Ford, who is leading the local team, at the office (right).
