Our grandson Henry is 5 months old today, Christmas Day.   He's visiting Dundee from Melbourne for Christmas (along with his mum and dad!) and has now met his great-granny Betty!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of delivering 100 Christmas pies to the residents of Magdalen House, the care home in Roseangle for adults with learning disabilities.   I am pictured below with some of the residents and a rather large supply of mincemeat pies!

This event took place as part of the West End Christmas events and I am very grateful to Greggs the Bakers on Perth Road, who donated the pies.   A very Happy Christmas to all the folk at Magdalen House!

Tonight at 7.30pm in Dundee West Church, the wonderful Lydian Singers present a varied programme of festive music together with audience participation in carol singing. 

Tickets, price £5, available at the door and proceeds go to the Brain Injury Unit at Royal Victoria Hospital.

Hillcrest Housing Association Christmas Appeal ...

Hillcrest Housing Association works with a range of voluntary agencies who provide much needed support to vulnerable people.  In the run up to Christmas over the last few years they have tried to do something to give back to these agencies to enable them to help more people. 

The Association has decided to appeal for new basic clothing items that can be passed on to the agencies who in turn can distribute.   The goods can be dropped off to either Hillcrest Headquarters at Explorer Road or the Hillcrest and CraigOwl office at South Ward Road and they will arrange for distribution to the agencies around Christmas.
