[We have been advised by SSEN :  “Wood (the contractors) were on track to reinstate and remove the traffic management for Sunday (17/8/25), opening the road up to traffic as promised.   However recent heavy rainfall scuppered their plans..  They will now have to dig out a large portion of the back fill and repeat the reinstatement - we can’t take the risk of the sodden backfill sinking. They now expect to be tarring on Wednesday 20/8/25, road should be open by 21/8/25.]
