Earlier this month, I highlighted complaints from residents about the unkempt state of the roadway and verges on Riverside Drive between the rail station and the rail bridge (see right) and mentioned that I had contacted the City Council asking for action to tidy this area.
I am pleased to say that the City Council has now updated me as follows:
"The Environment Department has responsibility for this and they have advised that road sweeping/weeding and grass cutting works are to be programmed for verges on Riverside Drive from the rail bridge eastwards and that this will be carried out in the near future."
