Residents will recall that, following the recent road collision on Hawkhill opposite the Peddie Street junction, the safety barrier was badly damaged.
We asked the Roads Maintenance Partnership for a temporary barrier pending the permanent replacement. This was provided very promptly but part of the section recently came detached as the photo shows.
We raised this with the council's Head of Sustainable Transport and Roads who responded positively as follows :
"I’m advised that the permanent repair will be completed this month.
The roads maintenance partnership didn’t have the required panels in store so this order was grouped with others for an aggregated material procurement.
In the interim a squad will attend to re-erect the temporary barriers and secure with cable ties to mitigate further uncoupling."
