Friends of Wighton : Lunchtime Recital

Whistle virtuoso Helen Forbes is performing in the Wighton Centre, upstairs in Dundee Central Library, tomorrow (Wednesday 7th April) at 1.15pm!

Helen is a regular at the Wighton Centre, teaching the Saturday morning whistle class.

Helen Forbes from Dundee is regarded as one of Scotland's finest tin whistle players. Her father, Peter, a well known Highland piper who later took up uillean pipes, was a major influence on her playing but she was also lucky enough to be taught by Mary Bergin in Spiddal and also by her at the Willie Clancy School in Miltown Malbay. She is a much in demand tutor and a member of the famed accessible to the people of Dundee, Fife and Angus. Mad Parrot Ceilidh Band.

Admission is free and there will be a retiring collection to support the work of the Friends of Wighton in making the treasures of the Wighton Collection
