DUNDEE CITY COUNCIL - WEEKLY ROAD REPORT

REPORT FOR THE WEST END WARD - SATURDAY 5 AND SUNDAY 6 JULY 2025

Strawberrybank (at Perth Road) – closed for one week for Scottish Water work.

[Note from Fraser and Michael – we have queried this as we are aware of what appears to be Scottish Water emergency work but residents are asking the need for this length of closure as there was no work on-site parts of Thursday and Friday.    Scottish Water has advised it will prioritise the work today - sett reinstatement - and hopefully the closure will therefore be lifted soon.]

[Note from Fraser and Michael – the road report information is provided by the City Council. We queried the over-run of this project and the lights on Ancrum Road and westbound closure on Tullideph Road. Getting things done - Hillside Place #dundeewestend

We recently received concerns about the deteriorated state of the road surface in Hillside Place.

We raised this with the roads maintenance partnership and were promised repairs.

However, given the extremely poor road condition, we asked about the possibility of future resurfacing and were advised as follows :

"Hillside Place did not make it into this year’s list for resurfacing work, but it will be scored again this year for possible inclusion in next year’s list."
