Dundee City Council proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order is expected to be in force for ten days from 10th September 2012. Its maximum duration in terms of the Act is eighteen months.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit temporarily all vehicular traffic in all lanes of the Dudhope Roundabout, and access to North and West Marketgait and Lochee Road from Dudhope Roundabout.
Pedestrian thoroughfare and vehicular access to premises will be maintained where possible. Exit from Bell Street Car park will be via Dudhope Crescent Road.
Alternative routes will be available via (1) North Marketgait via Lochee Road, Dudhope Terrace and Constitution Road, (2) South Marketgait via Inner Ring Road and (3) West Marketgait via Hawkhill, Horsewater Wynd, Guthrie Street, Brook Street and Polepark Road.
